4.2 Sigmascape Savage

The 2nd tier of the Omega Savage Raid series is based on my personal favourite numbered FF title, Final Fantasy VI. In this tier players face off against well known adversaries in the game: The Phantom Train, Chadarnook, Guardian, and of course who else but arguably the best villain ever from the Final Fantasy series, the ever deceitful and scheming Kefka himself (Sephiroth fanboys will argue this point). Fans will be pleased to hear that Kefka's infamous laughter has been well implemented into FFXIV.

4.0 Deltascape Savage

The 1st raid tier of the Stormblood expansion draws inspiration from FFV. Players will first be up against Alte Roite, which have been regarded by many players as too easy for savage. After that players face off against Catastrophe, Halicarnassus and Exdeath. Catastrophe was the first boss in FFXIV that required players to use Duty Actions, which was new to FFXIV. Halicarnassus was a fight that was well praised by many for its creativity. The phase transition that occurs in O4S will be remembered for being a pretty epic moment.
